CRIB ABC Entrepreneur Profiles
A key component of CRIB Match is helping you identify your entrepreneurial strengths, before matching you with potential partners and collaborators. We believe successful business teams comprise three main entrepreneur types, which can be profiled through our proprietary ABC entrepreneur assessment tool:
Angels (As) are resourceful investors with the right finances and networks to give new ventures a boost. They are a crucial resource, particularly for women-led businesses. CRIB members who are profiled as As can apply to join the CRIB Angels Club.
Business Managers (Bs) make things happen with strong management, organization and execution skills. They are especially important for small businesses, which require leaders with a good understanding of business functions, planning and control over daily operations.
Creatives (Cs) are bursting with ideas, inspire creative thinking and enjoy finding creative solutions to challenges. Creative business founders turn vision into reality, by building successful businesses based on truly innovative ideas. For Cs, the challenge is often in executing a creative idea.
Being an entrepreneur takes exceptional drive and dedication. All entrepreneurs have their strengths and weaknesses, and can benefit from partners with complementary skills, talents and personality traits. CRIB’s proprietary ABC entrepreneurs profile helps founders identify their strengths as business leaders, and connects As, Bs and Cs so they can form successful business teams to scale and develop successful businesses.

Pitch Perfect connects CRIB member businesses seeking funding with angel investors in CRIB Angels Club. It has been shown that women-led and women-owned companies yield above-market returns on investments (based on MSCI ESG Research). Our goal is to provide businesses with training and guidance from industry experts to help them to optimise their potential. The Pitch Perfect programme is conducted in stages over 3-4 months which includes at least 2 expert reviews and 2 pitch training sessions. The businesses who make it to the final round get to pitch to the CRIB Angels Club – our exclusive network of angel investors who are keen to support female-led businesses. As we are focused on women entrepreneurship, the business must have at least one female co-founder to be eligible for consideration.
Please note that in case of a successful investment, CRIB takes a finder fee from the businesses participating in Pitch Perfect. Here is the fee structure:
5% for < or = $100K
4% for > $100K to < $500K
3% for > or = $500K to < $1M
2% for > or = $1M

CRIB Angels Club
The CRIB Angels Club is an exclusive by-referral and by-invite only network of investors. It is a community of like-minded individuals seeking suitable investment and networking opportunities with the goal to support female-led businesses.
Research shows that women-led businesses start with significantly less capital than male-owned firms. There are various reasons for this, including gender-based values and preferences, a lack of investor confidence, as well as business sector and gender biases. Women-led businesses are also generally less successful at tapping external sources of financing, such as loans, angel investments and venture capital over the business lifetime.
Part of our goal is to help women entrepreneurs achieve their maximum potential, and to scale their businesses successfully. This led to the formation of the CRIB Angels Club, which provides a platform for entrepreneurs to raise funds, as well as for investors with latent capital to gain access to investment opportunities in new, promising businesses.
Angels are invited to Pitch Perfect events where CRIB businesses pitch to them for investor funding. CRIB also organises regular Angels Club gatherings and extends to members exclusive event invitations for Angels to meet and get to know one another.
How to join CRIB Angels Club
The CRIB Angels Club welcomes members by referral. Members should have an interest in supporting women entrepreneurs, and should have the resources to fund and provide strategic counsel and opportunities for them. Angel investors or VCs who are interested in investing in women-led businesses may be nominated as members. Please write in to email@example.com for more information on our selection process.
Upon evaluation, the CRIB team will send an official membership invitation to all newly-selected members of the CRIB Angels Club. Angels are encouraged to join as CRIB Society members as well. Please check www.crib.com.sg/membership for more information.
